# Offline Review

The Offline Review option allows you to download a document, make changes offline, and then upload the edited document back into the software.

Documents with the status *Internal Review, Ready for External Review* or *External Review* can be downloaded for offline review.

To offline review a document:

1. **Download the document**  
   1. Click on the **Download** icon  
   2. Select **Download to Review** and click the **Download** button.  
2. **Edit Document**  
   1. Make the necessary changes to the downloaded document.  
3. **Upload Document**  
   1. Click on the **Upload** button.  
   2. Upload the edited document.  
   3. Click **Proceed.**

During the offline review, other collaborators will see that the document is under Offline Review and who is performing the review.

In addition to the collaborator who downloaded the document for Offline review, other collaborators with edit access can also upload the document and finish the offline review process.

>
> - Online editing is disabled for all collaborators until the offline review is completed.  
>     - Variables and sections cannot be reviewed while the document is being reviewed offline.
