Normally, once negotiations are complete and the contract is marked as Ready for Signing, the document is locked, and no further editing is allowed. However, there might be instances where last-minute changes are necessary before the contract goes for signing. In such cases, you can unlock the document and make the required changes. > **Info — Note** > > The user must have permission to Unlock the document and the Document Status should be Ready for Signing. 1. In the contract, click on the three dots (**…**). 2. Select the **Unlock Document** option. 3. Click **Confirm**. Once unlocked, collaborators with edit access can make changes to the document. The document status will change to Negotiation Internal. A task will be created for the Legal Negotiator to Review the document. After reviewing and approving the changes, the legal Negotiator can mark the document as Ready for Signing again.
