# Contract Renewals

Contract Renewal option allows you to configure renewal tasks and reminders for contracts in the *Executed* status.

## Common Errors and Solutions When Configuring Renewals

      <td>
        <p>Unselect the contract for which renewal has already been configured. Steps to filter contracts pending renewal configuration:</p>
        <ol>
          <li>Click <strong>Filters</strong>.</li>
          <li>Choose <strong>Executed</strong> status.</li>
          <li>Choose <strong>Renewal Configuration</strong> as <strong>Not Configured</strong>.</li>
          <li>Click <strong>Apply</strong>.</li>
        </ol>

      <td><strong>Contract Expired</strong></td>
      <td>The contract has already expired and is not eligible for renewal.</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td><strong>Expiry Date not available</strong></td>
      <td>
        <p>The contract does not have an expiry date. To set an expiry date:</p>
        <ol>
          <li>Click the document name to open the detail view.</li>
          <li>Click the <strong>Configure Renewal</strong> button.</li>
          <li>Enter the <strong>Effective Date</strong> and <strong>Term of Contract</strong>. Click <strong>Save and Exit</strong>.</li>

      <td><strong>Task Creation date should lie between current date and expiry date</strong></td>
      <td>
        <p>The entered number of days for task creation must fall within the range from the current date to the contract's expiry date.</p>
        <p><strong>Example:</strong></p>
        <ul>
          <li>Current Date: 01-Mar-2025</li>
          <li>Expiry Date: 31-Mar-2025</li>
        </ul>
        <p>
          The <strong>Task creation date (days)</strong> should be 30 days maximum. 
          If you enter a value greater than 30 (e.g., 40), the task creation date would fall on 19-Feb-2025, which is in the past and not valid.
        </p>

      <td><strong>TAT should lie between current date and expiry date</strong></td>
      <td>
        <p>The entered number of days for TAT must fall within the range from the current date to the contract's expiry date.</p>
        <p><strong>Example:</strong></p>
        <ul>
          <li>Current Date: 01-Mar-2025</li>
          <li>Expiry Date: 31-Mar-2025</li>
        </ul>
        <p>
          The <strong>TAT</strong> to complete the task should be 29 days (1 less day than the Task Creation Date) maximum.
