# Leegality Word Add-in

The **Leegality Word Add-in** is your essential extension, integrating Deal Collaboration (DC) directly into Microsoft Word. It streamlines your entire contract lifecycle in one familiar interface, eliminating the need to switch applications. Post-initiation, you can perform most of your core document management, approval, and negotiation actions **directly from Word.**

With the add-in, you can perform core Leegality actions without leaving Microsoft Word, including:

* Securely accessing your Deal Collaboration account.
* Browsing your assigned contracts and pending tasks.
* Executing key actions like reviewing, **comparing versions**, uploading revisions, and **sharing the document** with internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintaining visibility into document status and the **audit trail**.

>
> All the changes made using the Add-in are reflected in the DC platform in real-time.

## Getting Started

### Finding and Installing the Add-in

If your organization has enabled the Leegality Word Add-in, it will be visible in your Microsoft Word application.

1.  **Access the Add-in**
    * Open **Microsoft Word** and create or open a document.
    * Navigate to the **Home** tab on the ribbon.
    * Click the **Add-ins** button.
2.  **Launch the Add-in**
    * Once installed by your IT team, the **Leegality** button will be visible on the Word ribbon.
    * Click this button to open the sidebar and begin using the Deal Collaboration features.

> If you do not see the Add-in, it may not be enabled for your organization. To enable the Word Add-in, verify that your organization meets the requirements for centralized deployment. ### Logging In

1.  Once installed, open the Deal Collaboration Add-in.
2.  Click **Sign In**.
3.  Enter your Leegality credentials.
4.  Click **Get Started** once the authentication is complete.

>
> Your authentication is saved, so you won't need to sign in every time you open Word until the session expires after the DC session time of **60 minutes**.
