You can enable or disable these variables as needed, but their core definition remains unchanged. If the default terminology does not align with your organization's usage, you can assign an **alias**—a different name that fits your context. > **Info — Example** > > If the default variable is "Term" but your organization uses "Tenure," you can set "Tenure" as the alias for "Term." ### Custom Variables These variables can be created to fit your specific needs from the settings. You have complete control over custom variables, including the ability to edit or delete them at any time. Both Default and Custom variables are available for use in templates during the creation process. ## To create a Global Variable 1. Click **Settings** on the left. 2. Click on the **+ Add Custom Variable** button. 3. In the **Add Custom Variable** pop-up. - **Variable Name:** Enter a suitable variable name. - **Variable Type:** Select the variable type from available options. - **Placeholder Text:** Enter text to provide hints or examples of the expected input. 4. Click **Save**.
