[Leegality](https://leegality.com/) is a leader in the Document Execution space, and as a company with the goal to digitize paperwork, we are here with the next leg of productive digital transformation. From draft to execution, Deal Collaboration has been tailor-made for the unique needs of Indian businesses, enabling them to manage contracts with minimal effort. It allows business teams to review, negotiate, and collaborate on a deal without the handholding of the legal teams. We have mindfully kept this tool simple and eliminated all the clutter and chaos of conventional CLM tools. ### Home Page The homepage gives you an overview of all your deals. You can see the number of contracts under review, contracts under negotiation and the contracts that have been executed. The left panel on the home page offers you easy navigation to various capabilities of the tool. - [**Tasks:**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/deal-collaboration/tasks) A collaborator can see all the tasks assigned to them by accessing tasks. A list of tasks is also visible in the middle section of the home page. Here you can also see the name of the task, the document that the task has been assigned, and the status of such document - directly from the home page.s - [**Contracts:**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/deal-collaboration/Contracts/initiate-contract) This is where you go to initiate a deal. This is also a repository of all contracts where you get access to all the information about the contracts that you are currently negotiating as well as the deals that you have closed. - [**Templates:**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/deal-collaboration/Templates/create-template) Templates allow you to create drafts with dynamic variables and sections simplifying document creation and management. This enables you to reuse fixed formats without the need to draft from scratch. - [**Workflows:**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/deal-collaboration/Workflows/create-workflow) With Workflows, you can automate your contract review processes by customizing the review and negotiation journeys and assigning specific users different roles and responsibilities. - [**Settings:**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/deal-collaboration/Settings/global-variables) Currently settings allow you to add global variables. ## How do you collaborate and negotiate on Deal Collaboration? There are various steps involved in negotiating a contract on Deal Collaboration. 1. You start with creating a contract with variables and sections—this is called a Template. 2. Once you have created a Template, you can either save it as a draft to edit later or publish the template. 3. Once a Template is published, it is ready to be used in a Workflow. A workflow can be set up using a template (outbound deals) or you can upload a draft received from a counterparty (inbound deals). 4. Setting up the Workflow involves various steps like selecting the relevant document, assigning specific roles to different users and enabling TAT to conclude the deal on time. 5. To initiate a deal, you need a pre-existing Workflow. It is at this stage that you introduce the counterparty, check internal collaborators and send the agreement to be reviewed. 6. The collaborators are now assigned tasks and as they complete the assigned tasks, the status of the contract keeps changing. - Reviewers review the contract - The initiator sends it for external review and uploads the document it receives from the Counterpart POC. - The business negotiator negotiates the business terms of the contract and the legal negotiator approves the document after checking for legal risks. 7. Once all the collaborators have performed their tasks, the contract can be configured for signing by the Legal Negotiator or the Initiator. 8. A task is created on the Contract Listing page to configure signing, this redirects you to Leeglaity’s Execution Platform - where you can easily configure a signing journey. 9. As soon as all the parties sign the document, the status of the document is changed to executed and the journey of your contract is complete.
