To get an index of all articles with their `.txt` links, read: https://knowledge.leegality.com/llms.txt > **AI Guide:** For instructions on how to navigate this knowledge base as an AI agent, read: https://knowledge.leegality.com/ai-readable.txt --- # Sending a contract for eSign The contract status must be in the **Ready for Signing** in order to send it for eSigning. ### Roles and Responsibilities - **Initiator or Legal Negotiator:** Responsible for finalising documents and configuring eSigning. ## To Send contract for eSigning 1. A task will be assigned to Initiator/Legal Negotiator to Configure Signing. 2. On the Contract's detail page, click on **Configure Signing** button. 3. Select the **Document(s)** you wish to send for eSigning. > **Warning — Note** > > Proceeding further will convert the document to PDF, delete all comments, and accept changes made in tracked changes. This ensures that a clean document is sent for execution. 4. Click the **Finalise and Continue** button. 5. You will now be redirected to Leegality’s Document Execution platform. The contract that needs to be executed will automatically appear here. You will also have the option to affix stamps to the contract. 6. Click **Next** to add invitees. All the collaborators apart from the Counterparty POC will automatically be in CC. 7. Click on the **+ Add Invitee** button to add signers. 8. Add the Name, Email Address and/or Phone number of each signer. > **Tip** > > Explore advanced options such as signature types, security features, reference attachments for invitees, and more. Set the signing coordinates where signers should place their signatures on the contract. 12. Click the **Send** button. Every invitee will receive a notification to sign the contract. All the relevant stakeholders like Reviewers, Business Negotiator and Legal Negotiator marked in CC will also get relevant notifications. To view the Signing details, click on the **View Document** button on the Contract's details page. Here, you can track the signing status of each invitee.
