Use these logs to audit account activity, track document status changes, monitor user actions, and maintain compliance records. Activity Logs give you visibility into: * All document-related activities (invitations, signatures, completions, rejections) * Stamp transactions and management actions * Workflow executions and updates * Payment and credit transactions * User authentication events (sign in, sign out) * System-level changes (contacts, templates, settings) ## How to Access Activity Logs ![Activity Log window](https://knowledge.leegality.com/img/Activitylogs.png) 1. Click **Dashboard** at the top of the page. 2. Select **Activity Logs** from the left navigation panel. ## Understanding the Activity Log Table The activity log displays entries in reverse chronological order, with the most recent activity at the top. Each log entry contains the following information: | Column | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Date** | The exact date and time when the activity occurred (e.g., Dec 15, 2025 04:54 PM) | | **Remarks** | A detailed description of the action taken, including document ID, IP address, or device information | | **User** | The name and email address of the user who performed the activity | | **Report Type** | The category of action that occurred (see Activity Types below) | ## Filtering and Search The top section of the Activity Logs page contains filters and tools to help you quickly find specific log entries. ### Search Use the search bar to find specific text within the logs. You can search by document name, document ID, user name, or keywords from the activity description. ### Date Range Filter Click the date range selector to view logs for a specific time period. You can: * Select predefined ranges (today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 30 days) * Choose a custom start and end date using the calendar picker > **Info — Note** > > By default, logs from the last 30 days are displayed. All activity logs are retained forever. ### User Filter Filter logs by specific users to view activities performed by particular team members. Click the user filter to select one or more users from your account. ### Refresh Click **Refresh** to reload the log data and ensure you're viewing the most up-to-date activity. ## Activity Types The Report Type column categorizes each activity. Below is a comprehensive list of all activity types and their meanings: ### Document Activities | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Create** | A new document was created in the system. | | **Invite** | An invitation was sent to a party to sign a document. | | **You Signed** | You completed a signature action on a document. | | **Invitation Sign** | An invited party successfully signed the document you sent. | | **Complete** | The document reached its final signed status with all parties having signed, or the sender manually marked the document as complete. | | **You Rejected** | You chose to reject or decline signing a document. | | **Invitation Reject** | An invited signer rejected or declined signing the document. | | **Delete** | The document was deleted. Completed documents and drafts can be deleted after a fixed period as configured in settings, or the sender can manually delete the document anytime. | ### Invitation Management | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Resend** | The signing invitation was resent to an existing invitee. This can be done for active invitations if the recipient did not receive the original notification via email, WhatsApp, or SMS. Maximum 5 times including the initial send. | | **Reinvite** | A new signing invitation was sent after a previous invitation was rejected by the signer. There is no limit on reinvites until the invitation times out. | | **Invitation Timed Out** | The time limit for an invitee to sign the document expired. | ### Verification and Signing Status | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Verification Failed** | A verification step (OTP or identity check) required for signing failed. | | **Signed but Verification Failed** | The document was signed, but a subsequent verification check failed based on department-level eSign configuration. | | **Retry Attempt Exhausted** | The maximum number of signing attempts was reached without success. This applies only to Aadhaar eSign. | ### Stamp Activities | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Stamp Used** | A stamp was reserved and applied to a document for signing. | | **Stamp Reversed** | A previously used stamp was reversed and credited back. This occurs when an unsigned document with a stamp is deleted by the sender. | | **Stamp Expiry Extended** | The expiry date for a stamp series was updated and extended. | | **Stamp Create** | A new stamp series was created in the system. | ### Template and Workflow Activities | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Template Create** | A new document template was created and saved. | | **Workflow Created** | A new document execution workflow was designed and saved. Only admin users can create workflows. | | **Workflow Updated** | An existing workflow was modified. Only admin users can update workflows. | | **Workflow Published** | A workflow was finalized and made active for use. | | **Workflow Deleted** | A workflow was permanently removed from the system. Only admin users can delete workflows. | ### User Authentication | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Sign In** | A user successfully logged into the application. | | **Sign Out** | A user logged out of the application. | ### Payment Activities | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Payment Authorised** | Initial approval for a payment transaction was received from the signer during the signing journey. | | **Payment Captured** | Funds were successfully collected after the signer completed signing without any verification errors or rejections. | | **Payment Capture Failed** | The attempt to collect funds was unsuccessful. | | **Payment Reversed** | A captured payment was refunded or cancelled because the signer could not complete signing due to document deletion or invitation deletion. | ### Contact Management | Report Type | Description | | :---- | :---- | | **Contact Deleted** | A contact from the Contact Book was removed. | | **Contact Sent** | A contact was successfully shared with another user or system. | | **Contact Shared** | A contact was shared with another user within the platform. | > **Tip** > > Use the Report Type filter to quickly find specific categories of activities when auditing or troubleshooting. ## Download Report Click **Download Report** to export the currently filtered activity log data.
