Before proceeding, ensure that your eSign for which you want to automated sign is already set up in your account. ## Account-Level Configuration To Set Up automated sign in your account: 1. Click on the **Settings ⚙️** icon in the top right corner. 2. From the left panel, go to **Settings > eSignature & Seal.** 3. For the desired eSign type, click on the **edit** icon on the right side. 4. Toggle the **Automated Sign** option to enable it. 5. Check the consent box to agree to the terms of using Automated Sign. 6. Set a password. (this password must be provided by the sender to enable Automated Sign for an invitee). > **Info** > > Automated Sign can be enabled for *Virtual Sign, Quick Sign and Document Signer Certificate*. ## Sending Journey #### New Document Journey 1. Hover over the **Signature Type** dropdown. 2. Enable **Automated Sign**. 3. Use **Choose Automated Sign profile** drop to select the signer's automated eSign profile. > **Tip** > > Use the eSign ID and Name to identify the profile. 4. Enter the password and click **Save**. #### Workflow Creation 1. Hover over the **Signature Type** dropdown. 2. Enable **Automated Sign**. 3. Use **Choose Automated Sign profile** drop to select the signer's automated eSign profile. > **Tip** > > Use the eSign ID and Name to identify the profile. 4. Enter the password and click **Save**. > **Info — Note** > > Automated Sign cannot be used for Group Signing. ## Signing Journey When the invitation for an automated signer is activated, the document will be signed automatically within a few seconds. The automated signer can be positioned anywhere in the signing order. > **Tip — Example** > > Consider a document with two signers where the second signer is automated and a signing order is enforced. Once the first invitee signs the document, the automated signer's invitation is activated. Within a few seconds, the automated signer completes the signing process, and the document is signed. ### Manual Retry of Automated Signature In some cases, an automated signature may be delayed or fail due to technical issues. When this happens, you can manually retry the automated signing process without waiting for the system to attempt it again. #### How to Retry 1. Navigate to **Documents > Recesived** or **Documents > Action Required**. 2. Open the document details page for the relevant document. 3. Click the **Retry Automated Sign** button to re-initiate the automated signing process instantly. #### Availability The manual retry option is available for all active automated eSign invitations that have not yet been completed. > **Info — Supported eSign Types** > > The retry option is available for **Virtual Sign, Visual Sign, Quick Sign, and Document Signer Certificate**. > **Info — Legacy UI** > > The automated retry option is only available in the **Legacy UI**.
