# WhatsApp Notifications

In addition to SMS and Emails, communications can be sent to the invitees via WhatsApp messages as well. WhatsApp provides a better experience and robust delivery.
WhatsApp can be activated for the invitees with their phone numbers.

## How WhatsApp Notifications Work?

On Invitee Card, when **Activate WhatsApp** toggle is Enabled for an invitee:

- Mandatory notifications, like document completion notifications and manual reminders, will always be sent via both SMS and WhatsApp, regardless of whether you’ve enabled WhatsApp or SMS notifications in the invitee level options.

- Non-mandatory notifications, like automatic reminders, will be sent to invitees based on the selection of WhatsApp and SMS notifications in the invitee level options.

The table below illustrates all combinations of SMS Notifications and WhatsApp Notifications, along with the corresponding notification delivery scenarios.
