The GPS coordinates captured will be reflected in the audit trail. Geofencing is similar to creating a virtual barrier around a certain area. This fence designates the area we want to monitor, manage or control. In case of Leegality - Signing your clients documents within a designated area. ## Activate Capture GPS location #### V3 Workflow 1. On the **Invitee Card**, click **Invitee Level Options**. 2. Toggle ON **Enable Security Features**. 3. Enable **Capture GPS Location**, then configure the following options: - **Capture GPS Location Only:** If this is the only option enabled, the invitee’s GPS location will be captured without restrictions. - **Apply Accuracy-Based Restrictions:** If enabled, the invitee cannot proceed if the captured GPS accuracy deviation exceeds the specified value in the **Accuracy Threshold** field. - **Apply Location-Based Restrictions:** If enabled, the invitee cannot proceed if their GPS location falls outside the specified **Coordinates (Latitude and Longitude)** and **Permissible Radius**. - **Restrict to India:** If enabled, the invitee needs to be in India in order to sign the document. 4. Click **Save**. The default coordinates configured by the admin are automatically applied. However, the sender can either use the predefined settings or customize the **Accuracy Threshold** and **Lat-Long Coordinates** for individual signers or reviewers. #### Workflow Creation 1. On the **Invitee Card**, click **More options**. 2. Toggle ON **Advanced Security Features**. 3. Enable **Capture GPS Location**, then configure the following options: - **Capture GPS Location Only:** If this is the only option enabled, the invitee’s GPS location will be captured without restrictions. - **Apply Accuracy-Based Restrictions:** If enabled, the invitee cannot proceed if the captured GPS accuracy deviation exceeds the specified value in the **Accuracy Threshold** field. - **Apply Location-Based Restrictions:** If enabled, the invitee cannot proceed if their GPS location falls outside the specified **Coordinates (Latitude and Longitude)** and **Permissible Radius**. - **Restrict to India:** If enabled, the invitee needs to be in India in order to sign the document. Now, the workflow creator has two options, either: - **Predefined Settings:** Configure the *Accuracy Threshold, Latitude-Longitude*, and *Permissible Radius* during workflow creation. These settings are applied automatically, and the workflow runner cannot modify them. - **Allow Workflow Runner Modifications:** Enable **Allow sender to make changes while running the workflow**. The workflow runner can optionally add *Accuracy Threshold*, *Latitude-Longitude*, and *Permissible Radius* while running the workflow. If left blank, no such restrictions will apply to invitee. #### V4 Workflow 1. On the **Invite** stage, select the invitee card. 2. In the right panel, open the **Settings** tab and go to **Security Options**. 3. Enable **Capture GPS Location**, then configure the following options: - **Accuracy Based Restrictions:** Specify the **Accuracy Threshold** — the invitee cannot proceed if the captured GPS accuracy deviation exceeds this value. - **Location Based Restrictions:** Choose one of the following: - **Restrict to India:** The invitee must be in India to sign the document. - **Latitude, Longitude and Radius:** Specify the **Latitude**, **Longitude**, and **Permissible Radius** (in meters) the invitee must be within to sign. #### Workflow Creation 1. On the **Invite** stage, select the invitee card. 2. In the right panel, open the **Settings** tab and go to **Security Options**. 3. Enable **Capture GPS Location**, then configure the following options: - **Accuracy Based Restrictions:** Specify the **Accuracy Threshold** — the invitee cannot proceed if the captured GPS accuracy deviation exceeds this value. - **Location Based Restrictions:** Choose one of the following: - **Restrict to India:** The invitee must be in India to sign the document. - **Latitude, Longitude and Radius:** Specify the **Latitude**, **Longitude**, and **Permissible Radius** (in meters) the invitee must be within to sign. **Note:** Whether the workflow runner can modify this setting depends on the [field properties](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/workflows/v4/setup-configuration/field-properties) set by the workflow creator. > **Info — Note** > > In order to successfully capture a location, the **Accuracy Threshold** and **Permissible Radius** should be set at a greater range (2000 - 4000 m instead of 1000 m). This is because location capture depends on the device (e.g., laptops/computers have poorer accuracy compared to mobile devices). ## Signing Journey of Capture GPS location During the signing journey, the GPS location will be captured, and click on “proceed”, the captured location will appear in the audit trail. > **Info — Note** > > Signer has to give the location access to the browser for capturing GPS location while signing the document. ### Scenario A: Successful GPS Capture The flow will continue to operate as it does now if the invitation was signed or evaluated and did not violate the location-based or accuracy-based constraints and the document will be signed successfully. ### Scenario B: Failed GPS Capture Set configurations will be reviewed by the system and if there are any breaches then the invitee will be allowed to retry the signing or reviewing attempt. ​ 1. If **Accuracy-based Restriction** fails, the message *Your GPS accuracy is low. Please check your device’s location service and try again.* is displayed. Refer to the image below. 2. If **Location-based Restriction** fails, the message *You are outside the permissible area. Please try again from a different location.* is displayed. Refer to the image below. > **Info — Note** > > Accuracy-based restrictions function best on mobile devices and tablets, which have the necessary hardware for precise GPS capture. Laptops and desktops may not provide highly accurate GPS location data.
