Once an invitee has signed, their invitation cannot be deleted individually — however, you can still [delete the entire document](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/manage-documents/delete-a-document). > **Info — Note** > > No email or message notification is sent to the invitee when their invitation is deleted, regardless of their status. ## How to Delete an Invitation 1. Go to the **Documents** section and select the document. 2. On the document details page, click the **Three Dots (⋮)** next to the invitee you want to delete. 3. Select **Delete**. 4. Confirm the deletion from the popup. ## What Happens When You Delete an Invitation ### Active and Unsigned An active invitee is one who has already received the signing invitation. If their invitation is deleted: - They are removed from the document without any notification. - Since they received an invitation email or message earlier, if they attempt to sign using the link they received, they will encounter an error page and will not be able to complete the signing. ### Inactive and Unsigned An inactive invitee is one who has not yet received the signing invitation (for example, they are later in the signing order and the previous invitee has not signed yet). If their invitation is deleted: - They are removed from the document without any notification. - Since they never received a signing invitation, no further action is required on their end. > **Info — Note** > > The sender cannot manually make an invitation inactive. They can, however, mark an inactive invitee as active. ### Rejected An invitee who has rejected the signing invitation can also be deleted. No notification is sent in this case either. ## Impact on Signing Order When an invitee is deleted, the signing journey does **not** automatically continue to the next person. The sender must **manually activate the next invitee** to send the signing invitation to them.
