Each method serves different purposes depending on who needs access and what level of visibility they require. ## Sharing methods overview Leegality provides four ways to share documents: | Method | Internal users | External users | Scope | Best used for | |--------|----------------|----------------|-------|---------------| | CC invitee | ✓ | ✓ | Single document | Real-time updates during signing process | | Impersonator mode | ✓ | ✗ | All user documents | Admin and granted user can access documents | | Completion notifications | ✓ | ✓ | All completed documents | Automated notifications when documents are signed | | Share specific document | ✓ | ✓ | Single document | One-time sharing of completed documents | ## Share with CC invitees Add a CC invitee to keep someone informed about a specific document's progress. CC invitees receive notifications throughout the document lifecycle, including when invitations are sent, signed, approved, rejected, or when the document is completed. > **Info — Note** > > This method shares a single document while it's in progress. The CC invitee receives notifications but cannot sign or review the document. This is an internal-only feature designed for administrative purposes. When you grant impersonator access, the authorized user can: - View all documents in the shared user's account - Download documents and audit trails - Perform administrative actions on behalf of the user > **Warning — Internal access only** > > Impersonator mode is available only for users within your organization. You cannot grant impersonator access to external users. Recipients receive notifications for all completed documents, not just specific ones. > **Info** > > Learn how [**to add completion notification recipients**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/settings/Notifications/notification) **Use this method when:** - Finance, legal, or compliance teams need to be notified of all completed documents - You want automated notifications without manual sharing - Both internal team members and external users need to be informed ## Share specific document and audit trail Share a completed document and its audit trail directly via email. This is a one-time sharing action for individual documents. **To share a specific document:** 1. Navigate to the **Completed** section under documents. 2. Find the document you want to share and click on the **⋮** and select **share**. 3. Enter the email address of the recipient. (**Note:** You add up to 15 email addresses.) 4. Click **Send**. The recipient receives an email with the completed document and its audit trail attached. **Use this method when:** - You need to share a specific completed document once - The recipient needs both the document and audit trail - You want immediate, ad-hoc sharing without ongoing access
