# NeSL Integration via Leegality

Leegality is an official **TSP (Technology Service Provider)** partner of **NeSL (National E-Governance Services Ltd.)**, enabling clients to use NeSL’s eSign and DDE (Digital Document Execution) services **without directly integrating with NeSL**.

This overview explains the benefits of onboarding NeSL through Leegality, how Leegality handles NeSL configuration, and how to get started.

## What Is NeSL?

**NeSL** is India’s first **Information Utility (IU)** under the **Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC)**. It serves two key roles:

* **NeSL as an IU**: Maintains verified records of debt transactions, which can be used as legal evidence during insolvency resolution proceedings.
* **NeSL as a DDE Platform**: Allows digital execution of loan and debt documents. Note: Even when DDE is used, **IU submission is still required** (though fees may be waived for some cases).
