Below are the key steps involved in document preparation. 1. Click **+ Create** and select **New Document Journey**. 2. Choose either: - Upload PDF(s). > **Tip — Document Requirements** > > - **Format:** Only standard A4-sized PDFs are supported. > - **Digital Signatures Removed:** Any digital signature on the uploaded document will be cleared once NeSL stamp is applied. - Select a prebuilt [**template**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/template). > **Note:** The **Allow first invitee to fill** option can only be used if a reviewer is the first invitee. 3. Click **Next**. > **Info** > > For full details, refer to the [**complete document preparation process**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/getting-started/sending-journey#step-1-prepare-your-document). ## Step 2: Add Invitees Click **Add Invitee** and enter their **name**, **email**, and/or **phone number**. - From the **Signature Type** dropdown, choose **NeSL eSign** if the invitee is a NeSL signer. - Repeat for all NeSL signers. > **Warning — Mandatory Fixed Signing Order** > > Enable **Request invitees to sign in fixed order** on the invite page. > **Info** > > #### Supported Invitee Options for NeSL Signers > - Email, SMS, and WhatsApp notifications > - Add custom URLs/webhooks > - Mask contact details ## Step 3: Flow-Specific Instructions #### NeSL Hybrid Flow ### What is NeSL Hybrid Flow? In NeSL hybrid flow, there are invitees with both NeSL eSign and other eSign types. NeSL signers perform their signing journey on the NeSL portal. Once all NeSL signers sign the document, then invitees with other eSign types start signing the document. #### NeSL Hybrid Flow - Sending Journey > **Warning — Mandatory** > > - *All NeSL invitees must be added first and grouped together in sequence.* You cannot place a reviewer or a non-NeSL signer between them. > > **Exception:** Only a [**reviewer**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/leegality-features/invitee-level/types-of-invitee/reviewer) can be added as the first invitee. > - *Non-NeSL eSign invitees must be placed after all NeSL invitees*, as NeSL clears any pre-existing signatures. 1. Click **+ Add Invitee** and enter their **name**, **email address**, and/or **phone number**. 2. From the **Signature Type** dropdown, select **NeSL eSign**. > 📌 **Note:** An invitee configured with *NeSL eSign cannot use any other eSign type simultaneously*. 3. After all NeSL signers have been added, you can add other invitees using any other [**signature types**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/category/esign-types) such as **Aadhaar**, **Virtual**, **Quick**, or **DSC**. > ℹ️ **Info:** Non-NeSL invitees can use the full range of Leegality features available under both [**Invitee-level Options**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/category/invitee-level) and [**Signing Journey Options**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/category/document-level). #### NeSL Only Stamping ### What is NeSL Only Stamping? _(Stamping via NeSL and Signing via Leegality)_ The NeSL Only Stamping enables organisations to procure real-time e-stamps through NeSL while executing the signing process entirely within Leegality using your preferred eSign methods (e.g., Aadhaar, DSC, Virtual, and Quick Sign.). This offers a streamlined experience with the compliance benefits of NeSL stamping, without involving the more complex NeSL signing process. It is ideal for institutions that want to leverage **NeSL's instant, state-compliant stamp generation** but avoid the **multi-step NeSL signer experience**, which often leads to user drop-offs. #### Why Use NeSL Only Stamping Flow? - **Real-time stamp generation** - No need for maintaining stamp inventory. - **Dynamic party name stamping** - actual names like “XYZ Ltd.” instead of placeholders like “Borrower.” - **Automatic data upload to NeSL IU** via DDE, saving operational effort (if applicable). > **Warning — Prerequisite** > > **Approval required:** This flow is available **only to NeSL-approved clients**. Without NeSL's approval clients will be unable to use it. #### NeSL Only Stamping - Sending Journey 1. On the create page, toggle on the **NeSL Stamping** option. 2. Add and configure the invitees. > **Info — Note** > > Since no NeSL signers are involved, **you do not need to configure any invitee under the NeSL eSign type**. 3. Click on the **Signing Journey Options**. - **Number of NeSL parties:** Specify the involved [Parties](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/nesl/nesl-features/nesl-parties) in the agreement whose data will go to NeSL IU. (NeSL Parties can be signing/non-signing parties in the agreement.) > At least **1 NeSL party** is required in NeSL only stamping flow. - **Number of Stamp Papers:** By default, it is 1. You can use multiple stamp papers if required. 4. Click **Next**. 5. Fill the [**NeSL Form**](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/nesl/nesl-features/nesl-form) details via the Dashboard or upload the filled XLS file. 6. Configure the signing coordinates and **Send** the document. NeSL eBG (Electronic Bank Guarantee) is a digital bank guarantee solution offered through the NeSL (National E-Governance Services Ltd.) platform. In the context of Leegality, NeSL eBG enables banks and corporates to issue, sign, and manage eBank Guarantees entirely online, streamlining the traditionally paper-heavy process. Leegality integrates with NeSL eBG to support the eSigning of eBG documents through the NeSL platform. The integration ensures compliance with NeSL's security and workflow requirements while offering a seamless user experience within Leegality's document journey. ### Standard Practice for NeSL eBG In most eBG use cases, only the bank officers (on behalf of the issuer) are required to sign the document. However, NeSL mandates the inclusion of Debtor and Beneficiary information during eBG issuance—even if they are not signing the document. To support this requirement, Leegality introduces **NeSL Parties** in the eBG flow. These are non-signing entities (typically the Debtor and the Beneficiary) whose details are still uploaded to NeSL IU. > 🔗 [Learn more about NeSL Parties](https://knowledge.leegality.com/document-execution/nesl/nesl-features/nesl-parties) ### NeSL eBG Flow - Sending Journey 1.
