# NeSL Signing Journey

This section explains how signers (invitees) can complete their NeSL eSigning process after receiving an invitation. 

#### OTP-based Signing Journey

1. Look for an invitation from NeSL. The message will contain a secure link to begin the eSigning process.
2. You will be redirected to NeSL’s eSigning platform.
3. Enter the OTP sent to the mobile number provided in the NeSL Form by the sender.
4. Once authenticated, the document will be displayed. Scroll to the bottom and click **I Agree** to proceed.
5. If the document includes an e-stamp, stamp details will be shown. Click **Next** to confirm.
   > ⚠️ **Important:** Once you click **Next**, the e-stamp paper will be generated. This action is **irreversible**.
6. The stamped version of the document will now be shown. Scroll down and click **Close** to continue.
7. A consent message will appear. Tick the checkbox to agree and click **Submit**.
8. A message will appear: *“You are being redirected to the ESP website.”* Click **Close** to proceed.
9. On the eSign Service Provider (ESP) site, enter your **Aadhaar number** and **OTP** to finish the eSign process.

#### Face Auth Signing Journey

You can now complete NeSL eSigning using Aadhaar face authentication, in addition to the existing Aadhaar OTP, biometric, and token-based eSign options.

#### Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you meet the following requirements:

1. You are using an Android device (face authentication is currently available only on Android).
2. Face authentication is enabled for your NeSL account. If you don't see this option, contact NeSL to request access.
3. Install the following apps on your device:
   - **Aadhaar Face RD** (by UIDAI): [Download from Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.gov.uidai.facerd)
   - **eMudhra App** (by eMudhra, NeSL's eSign Service Provider): [Download from Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.emudhra.esignpdf)

#### Face authentication signing journey

The NeSL process remains the same until you reach the eSigning step. After completing the link access, captcha, OTP authentication, and eStamping, follow these steps:

1. On the eSigning screen in NeSL, select **Face Auth Based eSign**.
2. You will be redirected to the eMudhra ESP page.
3. Select **Sign using Mobile App**.
4. The eMudhra App opens automatically.
5. Enter your Aadhaar number and complete the face capture process.
6. After successful verification, you will be redirected to the NeSL completion screen and then back to Leegality.

> **Info — NeSL Only Stamping - Automatic Retry**
>
> If a NeSL only stamping fails due to temporary stamping issues at NeSL's end, Leegality will automatically retry it. Upon success, the system seamlessly attaches the stamp, deducts the fee, updates the status, and triggers your invitations.

> **Note:** NeSL form validation errors cannot be auto-retried and require you to send a new document.
