# Change your password

You can change your password at any time.

>
> Leegality requires you to update your password every six months

To change your password:

1. Click on the **Setting** icon ⚙️ on the top right.
2. From the left panel, go to **Settings > Profile**.
3. Under the Account Security section, click **Change Password**.
4. To set a new password, you have to verify your identity by:
    - Either entering your old password.
    - Or authenticating with a Reset Code sent to your registered email address.
5. Click **Update**.

> You will be automatically logged out after successfully changing your password.
