They ensure content appears on separate pages when your document is converted to PDF or printed. ## Insert a page break Add a page break to start content on a new page: 1. Place your cursor where you want the page break to occur. 2. On the toolbar, click **Insert Page Break**. A page break will be inserted at the cursor position. Content after the page break will move to the next page. ## Remove a page break Delete a page break from your document: 1. Position your cursor at the page break, or select the page break. 2. Press **Backspace** or **Delete** on your keyboard. The page break will be removed and content will flow continuously. > **Info** > > Page breaks are primarily important for printed documents and PDFs. They may not be visible in the web view of your template. ## When to use page breaks **Use page breaks to:** - Start major sections on new pages - Keep signature sections on separate pages - Separate appendices or attachments - Create cover pages or title pages **Avoid page breaks when:** - Content naturally flows across pages - The document is primarily for screen viewing - You have very little content per page
