To Access this section, 1. Navigate to **Settings** menu. 2. Select **User Management** 3. Select the **Departments** tab. Departments help organize users and control access to resources within SignStation. ## Adding a New Department 1. Click the **+Add Department** button. A creation window will appear. 2. **Enter Department Name**: Provide a unique name for the new department (e.g., Finance, Legal). 3. Click **Add Department** to save the new department and add it to the list. - To exit without saving, click **Cancel** > **Caution — Error Handling** > > If the provided department name is already in use, the system displays an error message: **"Department with name '[Name]' already exist."** ## Managing Existing Departments The main view lists all configured departments in a table format. | Field | Description | |-------|-------------| | **Department** | The name of the organizational unit. | | **Users** | The total number of users currently assigned to this department. | | **Created** | The date and time the department was created in the system. | ### Department Actions (More Options Menu) Click the **three-dot menu** (⋮) next to a department's entry to access management options: #### Edit Department 1. Click **Edit Department**. A pop-up window will appear. 2. Modify the department's name as required. 3. Click **Update Department** to save the change, or click **Cancel** to revert and exit. #### Delete Department 1. Click **Delete Department**. A confirmation pop-up will appear. 2. Click **Delete** to permanently remove the department from the system. 3. Click **Cancel** to abort the deletion and return to the list. > **Danger — Warning** > > Deleting a department is permanent and cannot be undone. Ensure no critical users or documents are associated with this department before proceeding.
